Our story (as told by Fran)
RGN, Dip.Hyp, GQHP
Back in 2017 I was reflecting on my many years as a practice nurse and the things about the job that I enjoyed and the things not so much.
A common theme that stood out was a shortage of time to listen and talk with patients who clearly wanted to, because of the pressures of the NHS system. This was particularly noticeable with patients having to deal with stress in their lives.
Discussing this with my husband Ian, he identified related issues in the general workplace; people not progressing in their careers due to self-confidence rather than talent, people suffering from severe stress in the workplace and needing help that the employer struggles to offer.
And so we embarked as a husband and wife team on an accredited Hypnotherapy and Psycotherapy Practioner course run by the renowned Mind Works Therapy in Nottingham, and gained our Diplomas before becoming registered practitioners on the General Hypnotherapy Register. This requires us to undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and maintain professional insurance.
Since qualifying we have been successfully helping clients from our therapy room in the beautiful and relaxing village of Medbourne in south Leicestershire as well as visiting local clients in their homes in Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. As well as our standard services, I have has also set up my positive mind and body programme helping women with female-specific life events such as the menopause, conception and motherhood.
